How much does the origin of denim matter to you?

How much does "where the denim comes from", and "where it is manufactured" matter to you compared to the brand and price?

And does origin or brand affect your perception of quality more?

where the denim comes from definitely changes things for me...im pretty biased when it comes to denim thats not from japan. im sure theres denim made elsewhere thats very nice quality but i have to admit, i'm pretty hesitant about that.

as for where the jeans are constructed, i have a bit more slack on that.

I'm similar to fndmybetterhalf. The origin of the denim matters to me while the location of construction is a little less important (but important nonetheless). I'm not sure how valid these feelings are, but that's just my gut reaction. Is japanese denim the best denim in the world? I don't know...but sufu told me so.
