It literally looks like someone was just taking WAYWT pictures. I don't see anything here that's even remotely interesting as far as pieces go.

yeah... i was gonna say the same thing.

it's like just dudes wearing what looks like j.crew-meets-APC in a living room.

i guess that's why i like it so much. i like how understyled it is and how wearable it looks. stuff you could wear everyday anywear an not look out of place. to each his own...

This "to each his own" business implies that there is some element of this that is unique to "someone." This may be "understyled" but that's nothing but styling. There's essentially no actual design here, unless you consider ripping off J.Crew and adding a pocket "design." (caveat: on one piece, he adds a hood).

If the styling is all you really appreciated, then I have no argument.

"to each is own" was to state that i can like it and you don't have to. i like both the "designs" and the "styling" and i don't think it rips of j.crew at all. the designs are simple, but they use good quality fabrics and the pieces are well made.

the designers are also not yuppies, not that that makes any difference.

the people in the lookbook pictures are not models, but are the designers. which i agree in some cases probably was not the best idea.

If these were WAYWT pics, I'd rep every time. Not unique, sure -- not even really interesting -- but everything looks really nice. I'd wear almost 100% of these outfits.

In any case, it's convinced me to get some good trousers. I don't have J. Crew in my area. It is a shame.

I think this stuff looks great. J. Crew, Brooks Brothers, Band of Outsiders, Patrick Ervell, etc. Sure there are similarities, nothing innovative per se, but this shit looks fresh. What sets any of these brands apart from one another is how the garments fit and feel. And brands like J. Crew, Gap, etc. for whatever reason, haven't gotten either of those factors dialed.

Onward, Our Legacy, may your fits be trim and your hands supple.
