Anyone gotten one of these? And if so, are there any more unique sites than http://www.claddaghring.com ??

Are there any that aren't cheesy looking? Is this possible?

I'm asking for my sister I swear.

I'm assuming that since you read the wiki article you know they're all gonna have the hands, the heart, and the crown.

Just googling "claddagh ring" turned up http://www.claddaghringking.com/ , which actually has some pretty non-traditional designs that are at least interesting.

If it's for your sister though, maybe cheesy isn't an issue?

I don't think I'd go with the ringking site. The OP's link at least had the rings that are made in Ireland. That's what you probably want since this is a traditional Irish ring design. I'd stick to the basic design in a white metal (silver, white gold, wouldn't bother with platinum unless it were a custom wedding ring design). From what I recall there is a museum in Galway dedicated to the Claddagh ring. Not sure if they have web presence, and they're probably expensive if they do. I wandered in one of my times there and purchased a necklace for my mother. Just found it now... Thomas Dillon's in Galway, Ireland. This is the link. http://thecladdaghringstore.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=1&Itemid=31

"Thomas Dillon's was established in 1750 and we are the only Jewellers that have the right to have "ORIGINAL" stamped on our claddagh rings.
