Need A Suit

Looking for a new suit without breaking the bank....I've already wasted enough money on jeans thanks to sufu....preferably black, and kinda low-key, but still good quality.

Without breaking the bank = a cheap suit, so look for a basic plain suit in 100% wool with simple classic details at the usual suspects h&m, zara, M&S ect

If you can get yourself measured well (preferably by a tailor), I'd go with Thick As Thieves.

Or if you're a 36 or a 38 and not set on black, wait two days until I list two suits I have for sale .

TAT is great quality and value for money, but i wouldn't call it cheap at nearly $500, I was interpreting his post as a $200-300 suit, but if you're willing to spend a little then TaT is definitely a good way to go

Yeah by not breaking the bank I mean sticking to as close to $200 as possible.....maybe even under....I bought some ridiculously nice suits at ridiculously high prices but realised that I dont have a basic black suit anymore, since my old one doesnt fit anymore. I have pinstripes, tan, grey,navy,silver, and even my thuggish all white suit.... but without a black suit I feel a little ridiculous.

like others have said, H&M, zara, marks & spencer, you could hit up thrift stores, lord & taylor, macy's all those kinda department store places as well.

its not that hard to find a suit for under $200 if you bother looking.

Go to Nordstroms on the 26th and take advantage of the 1/2 yearly men's sale. Tons of great suits at >40% off.

No buy OTR suits!!!! 90% of them are wastes of money. Just put up a little extra dough and go for MTM. If its not made for you it'll never be quite right.

The only reason I don't recommend bespoke is that its super $, and MTM does in a pinch. Once you get a suit made for you, you'll never go back. If you're in New York, I'll have to recommend my man Izzy.

Is Thick As Thieves the venture of a sufu member? I feel that I've seen the guy on their website on WAYWT. In any case, they look like some great suits and I'm definitely in need.

Jacob the point of this shit was to find a suit in the 200 dollar range.....nothing less than $500 on nordstrom.....for that much I may as well just cough up the extra 400 and go back to neiman marcus and grab another purple label....

$200 is either going to get you a shit quality suit or one that fits like shit. You say you already have purple label (for $900, apparently), why start skimping now?

personally id say getting a suit thats $200 isnt worth getting at all...I mean raelly, its a long shot, but save up another 800-1000 and buy something worthy that you can keep around for the long run. dont waste 200$

I know what you're saying but understand that my money comes in bursts.....im a full time student i produce on the side so when i get money i just kinda go and blow it all ......i just need a suit thats black haha but it's all good i found a ralph lauren suit(not purple label, but what can i do?) for $150......its a wool/cashmere blend.....fit's semi- crappy but im fairly handy so i'll be able to fix that with a little altering...

Try a Goodwill or Thrift shop...you'd be surprised...I picked up a wool/cashmere suit from the 60s in pristine condition for $15
