What can you tell me about Etro?

I've seen a lot of their stuff in person, either at stores or on my boy, who's obssessed with their clothing. I gotta' say I dig it, but I don't know if I'd ever wear it myself. But anyway, what's the deal with it? It's a French company right?

i saw like 3 of there recent ties.. all had patterns copied from vintage shit i already own..

but its nice.. kinda contemporary take on some vintage pattern..

i dont know much about them though.. thats just what the ties wer like.. hehe

Flambouyant sports jackets and suits. Very cool, IMO. Patterns are very busy and often come off as dandified.

Family run, Milanese company. Known for their flamboyant designs especially their signature paisley patterns. The fit is slim but slightly larger than let's say Dolce&Gabbana. They often add cool details like patterns on the inside of their colars or on the lining. Their recent fashion shows have had a decidely "tribal" vibe with headress and such. I love the Etro suit I have but it's definitely a flashy look. I would advise against wearing an Etro shirt with an Etro suit and tie unless you're want to look like a pimp. My suit is canvassed but I'm not sure it's the case for all Etro suits. The price point is pretty standard for good quality designer suits
