I think I know what you are talking about.

When I was in Tokyo, I saw some acrteryx backpacks at Beams.

I recall that they were ridiculously expensive... 70,000 yen-ish .

They are the ones specifically manufactured for use by the US army or USMC. I think they were supplied to troops going to Iraq or something.

They may not be listed on the official website but they do exist.
