Haha yeah. Also there's this store called white rock in zhongshan dunhua as well that stocks arcteryx veilance (they actually have quite a bunch in stock) and a whole bunch of other climber/outdoorsy type shit but I really like it. Easily my favorite shop in taipei.

Where is that Eslite shopping mall? Is that the one by 101?

-There's few other Tuan Tuan stores at some other places: Breeze Center, Megacity in Banciao. Each Tuan Tuan has slightly different stock. The one at Breeze Center carries Thom Browne and Brioni...etc. There's also a Givenchy store at Breeze Center

-There's a new store opened a bit ago called DANCHU, carries RO, DRKSHDW, Gareth Pugh, Yang Li, Nicolas Andreas Taralis, Damir Doma..etc http://www.danchutaipei.com

-Secret Service in Zhongxiao area also carries Julius. There's also a store neaby called Infected that carries TRIMAPEE and Chronicles of Never https://www.facebook...nfected.tw/info

-The YSL store at Taipei 101 is now a SLP store with new interior and stock.

-White Rock is also the only Veilance stockist in Taiwan.

-Bellavita and Megacity both has a store called 03. Carrying White Mountaineering and a bunch of other Japanese labels I'm not too familiar of 886-2-8729-2726. Bellavita also has a Yohji and Jil Sander store

-Hotel V carries White Mountaineering, Our Legacy, Filson, Alden, Folk, Topman, Nigel Cabourn, Grenson, Monitalty, Mismo, Yuketen...etc https://www.facebook....TAIPEI?fref=ts

-Red Wing store Taipei in Zhongxiao area also has Nigel Cabourn and Deluxe

-Trends boutique carries Julius, KVA, Juun J., Raf, Balmain, Mcqueen....etc https://www.facebook...ends.tw?sk=info The Sevendays stores next door carries Common Projects, APC, Band of Outsiders, Engineered Garments..etc at a Ridic price

-Less boutique in Ximending carries Mark McNairy, Bleu de Paname, Ebbet, APC, Carhartt WIP, Garbstore, Norse Projects, Mt Rainier Design...etc https://www.facebook...LessTaiwan/info

-Sense30 is worth visiting if you are into vintage bikes. http://www.sense30.com/ https://www.facebook...#!/sense30/info

-ASTRIUM NATURE store at Taipei Metro The Mall next to Shangri-La Hotel Taipei carries the Viridi-anne. There's also the only Issey Miyake Men store in Taipei.

-Taipei has a pretty viberant indie rock and edm scene. Artists/bands like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Boris, FUCKED UP, Grimes, My Bloody Valentine are all visiting Taipei in the near future. Recently Major Lazer, Sasha, Peter Van Hoesen, Hardwell, Avicii, Milton Bradley, Michael Mayer, An21 & Max Vangeli, Claudio PRC...etc all visited Taipei. Move D and A1 Bassline are coming as well. Go to Gigguide.tw for gigs/parties. For Taiwanese bitches you would still need to stick with mainstream clubs such as Room18, Luxy, Myst, Lava..etc

-It's still kinda BS that there's no Geller stockists in Taipei.

Legit.

Jil Sander (Bellavita)

Taipei 101 also has Givenchy

MMM at BR4 (å¿ åå¾©èˆˆSogo)

Club 1981 in Eslite also carries few pieces from Raf Simons, Thom Browne and such.

Sevendays NY is going out of business in a month or two (many shit on sale as of NOW).

The former Undercover store at Dunhua has now become sort of an outlet store for the Tuan Tuan group, selling shit seasons ago CHEAP. However, it carries mostly womenswear.

WISTORE at Dunhua carries Beams+, United Arrows that sort of stuff. They are selling at a price similar to Japan, so you might want to check that out if you're interested.

The Complete Studio at Ren-Ai Circle has few things from Neighborhood, HumanMade, Visvim, Sophnet, etc. Pricing... uh.

I personally think the best place to shop is Breeze Plaza. It has ALMOST everything fashionable people are looking for. Even though price-wise it's probably not a smart choice.

Definitely take a stroll around Yongkang St. in Da'an Dist. (MRT Dongmen Station)

My personal favorite place to dine. Great food with very relaxing scenery.

Can someone recommend a really plush romantic restaurant, somewhere which has a relaxed atmosphere and not too stiff? Or somewhere really romantic in and around Taipei City but nothing cheesy...? As I'm intending to make a proposal...

On a side note what's with the thread title change?

We don't care about fashion in general bruh.

Sad but it's true.

Do Taiwanese not care much for fashion apart from Japanese denim and American workwear? I didn't see many if at all people rocking that gear apart from SAs in the area. Also didn't think it was very fashionable at all, see a lot more better dressed on the streets of London and even Paris etc than in Taipei. Said to the missus that I think pretty much all Taiwanese people dress like fobs like Hong Kongers... she wasn't impressed and was put in the doghouse for the rest of the evening haha.

Werty and Prokart, looks like I have a lot more exploring to do !

Found NY Fantasy, a consignment/reseller store on the corner across the road from Shipai MRT station. Just had a peek last night to satisfy my curiosity. Stocks a lot of Supreme (inc CDG shirt collab at reseller prices), Redwing, Moncler (odd piece) and other random streetwear labels. What baffled me about the place were the two aunties running tings

Long shot, but does anyone know of any Nike flyknit stockists? Wouldn't mind grabbing a pair while I'm out here. Also any places stocking Gyakusou ?

Also you say Taipei having a vibrant Indie Rock scene... any clubs that reflect this? I don't mind House (would've gone last night) but the other half can't stand it.

I can't think of any store that carries Gyakusou.

I once spotted few Nike flyknit trainers at Invincible (Ximending) 108å°åŒ—市è¬è¯å€æ¼¢å£è¡—二段89號

There's also a store at Dunhua which I've never been 106å°åŒ—市大安å€å¿ åæ±è·¯å››æ®µ3號

I heard they were being sold really fast.

They have some dope NB shoes as well.

Went to Invincible the other day, one of the female SA's there was laughable, gave us shit face throughout the whole time we were in the store. The downstairs basement area had a lot of old Converse stock, Mackintosh x Converse, Missoni Cons from previous seasons etc. They also had the more recent auckland racer. Spotted a couple of Flyknit trainers, but didn't have the white/white colourway I was after.

The Complete Studio was better than I had anticipated, they were refitting the upstairs for new season stock. Downstairs had a rail of old Bape (inc Bape x Futura) wares from the early noughties. Few NBHD pieces and W)taps accessories in particular the storage boxes. They had 6 pairs of Visvim footwear for sale, FBTs, Flynt Lo's, Buey Trekkers x2, can't remember the other two pairs. All of which were in the sale, think 30% or 40% off? Will check it out again next week may be. The SA there was friendly enough. Still amazed how a store like that survives considering their mark up (much higher than HK/Singapore) and the rental cost of the shop front in that area. I mean realistically how many sales are they making a month? a dozen or even less? They must be under an umbrella company and supported by other stores that share the same umbrella.

Went to the Bape store for a laugh...

Wow Outlet was really good, loads of CDG and Undercover in the sale, as well as Rick Owens, Junya Watanabe, 45rpm, Ann Dem etc. As mentioned previously by someone else it is an outlet for the Msyaming group, loads of Givenchy etc. I'd say the stock was split 70% female 30% male.

For Indie/EDM gigs it's the best to check out gigguide.tw for more information as I mentioned before. It's a website with event postings. Not many of these gigs happen at clubs. We call them livehouses. The Wall (這牆), Witchhouse(女巫店), Legacy(傳), and Underworld (地下社會), Kafka on the Shore are few that comes to mind. edited: and Revolver near CKS memorial hall, of course

A1 Bassline and 11 other local DJs are performing tomorrow at The Wall splitted into 3 rooms. Music ranging from uk bass/future garage, techno, tech-house, house, D'n'B and maybe some IDM.

Went to NingXia night market yesterday, really liked it, rain put off a lot of crowds, so navigating and queuing for food was a breeze. If you could only do one stall there, it has to be the taro ball stall, their deep fried taro ball with pork floss and pickled yolk inside is devine. Best snack I've had in Taipei to date. I also think I prefer NingXia to Shilin...

Wow Outlet is where the old Undercover Taipei/Noodle bar used to be in the Daan District. 5 minutes walk from Zhongxiao Fuxing station.

Address is: No. 40, Lane 181, Section 4, ZhÅngxiào East Road, Daan District, Taipei City, Taiwan 106

Near Carhartt WIP, Invincible and Take5 etc.

Looking forward to checking out more places in October/November time, especially taking a trip to Keelung night market.

Still not pleased that this thread is called "China::Taipei" rather than "Taiwan::Taipei"  Didn't think SuFu was in the business of politics.

PM'd a mod to change it but was ignored.

Seconded, this is unnecessary politicizing and clearly confusing as seen by the response below:

Isn't Taiwan part of the R.O.C. ? I really dont see the need to break this into two separate threads considering the low level of posting.

He is partially right, except that he have absolutely no understanding of what he is saying. Taiwan's other name is R.O.C. (Republic of China), and this is precisely what distinguishes it from the P.R.C. (People's Republic of China).

His post proves the need to fix the title to avoid propagation of further ignorance and misconceptions. Soon we will forget Taiwan was colonized by Japan for 50 years. They are already rewriting the history books to call it an 'occupation'.
