the hills is a masterpiece, but not for the same reasons gossip girl is.

i find that gg is actually really sharply written. the fact that they keep production local to nyc 100% adds a lot, and nearly every female on the show, mothers included, is worthy of any straight man's top 10 list. the characters all dress pretty well too.

also, she's fourteen. and she wore it better.
