AVANT GARDE Font Family

Was wondering if anyone has the avant garde family with the alternate letters that are all diagonal and stuff.

where did you get that picture from? isn't that just a customised version by a designer?

yeah, i'm 99% sure that there's no font packet that will do that. just look at the transition from the n to the t,

but if you do find it, send it my way.

Elsner+Flake re-issued Lubalin's Avant Garde Alternates a few years ago.

But really, this was over-used 3 years ago – I think it's too soon to bring it back (yet again).

The only place Avant Garde looks good is in the words Avant Garde.

to be honest i kinda like the 70s steez the alternate version has going on. i probably wouldnt use it on my birthday card but it might be a nice font to have. not that im running out of fonts, i just got the linotype gold collection. 95% of it is crap though.

This font has been played to death. Italic san-seriff fonts are the new avant garde alternative.

frutiger kind of works italic/oblique. helvetica definitely doesn't. futura doesn't really either. what are some good sans serif italic fonts?

futura bold oblique is pretty much my anti-design font

i just use it for everything when i dont care. 99% of the time its white on a red background too.

They're like the go-to hip flyer fonts (or were..). I think the boring clubs are using them now.
