raw denim on mythbusters

I caught a little bit of mythbusters and they were testing jeans being so tight that they can kill you. Apparently this kid was in his tub shrinking his denim and it cut off his circulation. Didn't see what kind of jeans they bought but I know it was raw and they were soaking them. Anybody else catch this?
