On Wraps...

Looking for ideas / interpretations / alternatives to this N(N) wrap from Atelier:

Personally looking for something in this vein (i.e. textured and with dark colors / fringe detailing or something along those lines), but post anything you might have. I think it's a good way to shift proportions / add something interesting to an otherwise plain silhouette, but that's just me.

Get a big piece of flannel, cut some fringe and wrap it around your waist.

I sometimes forget this is a fashion forum. Don't think me such a dullard that I couldn't figure out how to make this on my own, thank you. This thread is for purposes of inspiration and discussion, although I might be on my own on this topic once more.

Anyway, in the S/S 2004 (I believe) collection Raf used torn-up t-shirts sewn onto many of the jeans to create a "wrapping" effect, but such that it hung only on one hip. I've done this a couple of times to add asymmetry to an outfit. More visual punch. I think he's done it on other occasions but it's all I can recall off my head.

No pics.

raf was always on the wrap thing. he did the pants with attached sweater wrap in 02 at first i think. and then in 04 and 05 he did pants with other shaped attachments.

imo i dislike the wraps.. hard to pull off. if done right it looks amazing though. same as the shorts-over legging look that's been popular this season.
