Sohotel's about $233 a night plus taxes 'round Thanksgiving. Soho grand's great, but it's about $300 plus taxes for the same break.

I'll keep lookin'. My brother's got a crappy nyu apt there, but he's living with a fob and the floor is the only free space really.

There were stores open and there were some decent sales on Thanksgiving (though I only checked department stores that day, not sure about boutiques).

Go eat thanksgiving dinner at Chumley's..........set price menu, great food, awesome old bar.
