Buttons up or Buttons down

When initially soaking your jeans do you prefer to button them up or leave them off? Do you think it affects the probability of waves in that area? I know its a stupid nitpicky question, but crotch waves :eek: seem to happen every other time i soak. I would love to hear your opinions.

You have to do it in this sequence: unbuttoned, buttoned, unbuttoned, etc.

I don't have any solid theories about the crotch waves atm... but I wouldn't imagine that doing it one way or the other would create more or less waves. which waves are you talking about exactly? have a pic?

i definitely button them up. one time i forgot, my sda's ended up with a lazy fly, meaning it looks half-open the whole time. coincidence?

Camera is charging, will post pics when its done. Its when the layer of denim above the button has a little groove. A pair of SC 1947 and Sam 130xj already fell victim to them. Its nothing serious, more of a pet peeve.

a little unsure what you mean by these "waves", are you talking about the "bumps" on top of the button fly from the buttons? if so i think i actually like those haha

anyway, i keep them buttoned up when soaking

i dont think it matters but i always soak or wash with the jeans buttoned up to keep it's shape i guess. the "lazy fly" could happen i guess

it basically looks like your pants are too tight for you in your button area so that the button flap is going to explode.
