WARM and SLIM M65 Type Jacket for skinny people?

Recommended Posts

I have been searching for a warm m65 for awhile but its hard to find one in my size.

I am not that tall but quite skinny (5'11, 34in chest, 28" waist) and when I downsize military/surplus jackets the sleeves end up being really short and the jacket is still really boxy.

Edited to add, I am looking to spend up to $450 if necessary, maybe more for the right jacket, and live in NYC.

Something from japan seems like a good option. Where is one that is not sold out already though?

I am looking for a simple minimal rock and roll inspired look rather then designer. My search has not been that good and none of these really look that warm...

The most promising, do not know about the sizing though

This is surplus but not small enough

I'm having the same problem....I need a warm, yet slim m65 as well. I need to stack up on winter apparel since it get's pretty cold here in the area I live in. Btw, I WAS going to get your Corpus m65, but after the measurments, it ended up being to big for me. :o

Edit- Anyone got a HARE m65 in a size small?

I have a size small Ever M-65 I might be selling.

It sorta fits your description other than having a ever patch on the shoulder of the jacket. But if you can handle the branding it's a pretty slim and nice jacket, riri zippers and has two layers.

Retailed for around $700, I'd let it go for around $300

Here's pics of it:

If your not interested in that I suggest a Whyred m-65 jacket.

I saw one last time I went to HK, and regret not picking it up to this day.

If your having such a hard time finding one that already fits your description why not get one that kinda fits and have it tailored?

what it would cost to tailor such a jacket? just by looking at that type of jacket it seems like it might be difficult with all those pockets...

How about the Lad Musician one? It's not up on the webshop yet, but it might be available in stores - it's in the top end of your price range at about 450$. Sounds to be up your alley as this season is rock n' roll inspired. Don't know how warm it would be though.

Thanks to everyone who has posted.

That Lad Musician one looks pretty nice, maybe not warm though.

Last year I had a military peacoat tailored and everything but the sleeves were still too short and it did not turn out to be very warm.

I just want something that looks sort of classic military surplus/vintage but warm and well fitting. I am willing to spend a lot of money to have one tailored well but I am having trouble having one to start with, I have already ordered/returned a lot of stuff online. The main problem is too get anywhere near my size in the surplus/military jackets the sleeves are too short.

I am sort of out of ideas but I want to keep looking into buying something from japan. I sort of had a bad experience last year though. The parka I ordered turned out to not actually measure like was listed and it was huge on me. Then I ripped it really bad the same day I got it on my computer chair armrest before I could return it.

$450 might seem a bit cheap for lad stuff. I thought their winter coats were around $600?

m65s arent typically winter jacket material

the lad one is gorgeous and probably fairly warm if you layer it with taht sweater or one similar and a scarf

you're not gonna be able to get through a blizzard with it though

I'd go for a duffel, I have three of them ahah

if you're talking about blizzard shit, fuck this fashion and go northface or LL bean down parkas

this is going on my 2nd winter in NYC and last year I frooze my ass off. I do not want to go through that again. I never really had any decent winter coats before so I need some selection. I plan on getting some sort of hardcore parka too but want something that works for mildier days and going out at night. I think pea coats are a pain to deal with as a only coat.

wjk rabbit fur lined. problem solved. next..
don't be a pussy.

haha qft.

the rabbit lined one is actually $2k+ ;)

but the normal ones are warm as hell. sell something and pony up the cash for the wjk. its probably one of the only slim fitting warm m65's that is fashionable.

i doubt the slick jacket will be anywhere near warm.
