new menswear designer doing research (US patented collar designs)

Good Morning ! I am a new fashion designer in the business and i am doing some market research to see what the menswear community thinks about new collar styles. I U.S. patented these collars many years ago and i would like to know if men are willing to wear unique dress shirts collars. Please view my website www.ericglennie.com to view some unique collar designs perhaps you may have never seen before. I shaped dress shirt collars around the necktie knot to show the neckline with a cleaner style by placing the collar points behind the necktie. Thanks gentlemen for your time and hope you enjoy my art. Please let me know what you think or dont think about a new collar style for menswear. Thanks again Eric Glennie. 952-913-8708

I showed my shirts to many people over the years, Movie studios, celebrities, fashion stylists, designers, manufacturers, buyers, tv studios, tv celebrities, musicians, and athletes. My collar first showed up on a professional basketball team in the late 90's and spilled over into the movies. The Travolta movie is "Swordfish". I havent watched LA Law so do you have any photos so I can take a look at. thanks EG.

wow, they talked about this shit for 22 pages over there?!

Oh man. I'm usually supportive of new designers and such, but that guy needs to stop being defensive. And my god, his website makes me feel like I've gone back 11 years on AOL 2.0.

I apologize for the website! I am not working with a lot of capital, but I think my website does show my designs and vision to see if there is a market out there for my style before I drop $5k on a website. Anyone out there who has started their own business from ground up can understand how tough it is to get going when cash-strapped. Plus, there are few resources, partners, and mentors to work with in Minnesota. My website can only get better, not any worse. Anyways, I am glad you enjoy seeing some new ideas. Menswear has become boring and mundane so I hope to break the monotony and shakeup traditional menswear.

I love to design clothes and there is a lot more to come from EG for men and women. I just dont want to knock off another designers style, put my label on it, and call myself a fashion designer. I want to be different, yet stylish and wearable.

The style forum is very traditional and those gentlemen enjoy wearing the styles of generations. I design for the future so I hope I have found a forum that understands innovation. The gentlemen on the other forum worked me over pretty good, but I can take the heat. I am not going anywhere because I do believe in my art , and I dont think there is a designer in the world thinking like I am. My business will come to fruition, but I am patient and it will take time . I am Hoping very much to find that one business partner that believes in my style. The style forum is great and they taught where not to spend my advertising dollars. Thanks Eric.
