I've been toying with the idea of getting a pair of these, from http://www.footwearbyfootskins.com , but I'm worried they'll rip apart when I'm not stalking deer through forests.

get the crepe sole version then. those look pretty nice.

So I'm bumping this thread because I want to know - how do these actually wear in real life? Has anyone bought, say, the Rogues Gallery / Quoddy boots and worn them through a winter in the city? Are they waterproof? Is there any traction on snowy and icy sidewalks? I'd buy a pair in a minute if I were sure that they are actually practical as winter boots....

In all seriousness, ummm, I got a camp sole on these but they are mad bomb for snow rompin'. Except these are unlined, so they're warm, cuz the leather is mad thick, but not that warm, cuz it gets mad cold here. Then there's this tiny little itsy bit of snow that likes to melt and seep onto my foot, and I could let it get me mad mad, but instead, it's almost kinda refreshing, but not quite.

Them reg'lar boots got a leather or crepe sole, so I mean, use your brain on the slipperiness.

I'm posting this video whenever I get the chance. You shoulda just posted in the other Moccasin thread. Why you all diggin up old threads and shit?
