i used to be up on plrds.com before he re-did the site not too long ago.

it's all real, they train hop and meet runaways and stuff.

it's funny, he had a couple exhibitions (solo, i think?) a while ago and got the money to make it happen by going under some medical testing or something.

You should check out the danish author Jakob Holdt's page... He travelled through USA for several years during the 70's, squatting and selling his blood so that he could buy film. He's taken thousands of pictures, many of them can be seen here:

His book is also great. His focus is mainly on racism and class differences though.. I've heard him give a speech once, and he's a really amazing person.
