As far as F/W shoes go:

Should I get a pair of the platform/creeper-style Jil Sander shoes? Or a pair of the platform Lanvin shoes?

(I'm not sure which individual pair specifically from each collection just yet. But they all look fairly similar in each respective collection, so for me it's really a matter of which of the two to pick from before I narrow it down to an individual pair.)

jil sander all the way. the lanvin ones are alright, but they're not executed perfectly. something's just a little off, and i can't quite dictate what exactly. but i think the nightmare-before-christmas-esque aesthetic of the jil sanders is awesome.

timbuk2 will hold more and be made better but usually won't be cheap. if you want something like that american apparel bag just wander around chinatown and you'll get it for ~$5

yeh good points... by cheap i mean relatively speaking. i know some fools on here (and i would be one of them if i could, i'm still in college so not a balla yet) spend a lot more on this type of stuff.
