See that's the problem I go to Magic, Pool , project, ..... But there's nothing mind blowing there I don't already carry.

I listen to my customers and if there's enough demand I pick up a collection.

Alot of you guys are in the busniess and might have a head start on a great up coming line. That's what I am looking for and that's why I posted.

SugarCane is Awesome does anyone know who reps them.

I also dig on Julian Red for sure.

Keep'em coming. I am in the works with Levi's.

Do they even sell Samurai in the States?

OK e-mail me at [email protected]

Thanks everyone for your help!

I second the Atelier LaDurance. Brillliant, innovative jeans that have great details but aren't over-engineered like Maharishi, fiberops, tsubi (hate those) etc. Classy jeans.

Not so sure about the Buddy Lees on Triads. The washes may be just a little too distressed and kinda unnatural, trying a little too hard to cash in on the vintage Rider market. Intriguing, but not for 190 Pounds.

The denim on those Samurai, Farmers, and Burgus looks awesome, but the prices are just brutal. Will your market (DC?) support that? Also, I think it's time to give the homages to 501s a rest.

Denimbar, have a look at this link:

http://www.j-fabled.com/shopping_jeans.html

I'd be interested in pretty much all the denim brands they carry, i.e. studio d'artisan, warehouse, fob, denime. This stuff us blokes in the US can't get access to unless we pay mucho $$$ to third party purchasers like celga.

I'd certainly agree with the calls for Samurai jeans. I did actually mail them directly a while ago, and they were happy to ship internationally, but they only had boot cuts in the 19oz available, and frankly it looks from the pictures like the boot cuts are bordering on bell bottoms.

you really do want some PRPS...i have a pair...and they are...what you would say...'offfff the hooooook'

I prefer them to my best bluebloods (and are possibly the best blueblood pair ever made in their 3 seasons on the planet)..so PRPS have very high quality jeanswear...the denim jackets are awesome too..

http://www.beinghunted.com/v40/features/2005/prps/index.html

I liked Michiko Koshino untill they started making 34, 36 inch legs...

Chelsea Garb has some very nice ladies denim...owned by the indigo collective

http://www.indigo-collective.com/

you'll find some nice lines on their from Etienne Ozeki, Buckler, Howe, Blue guru...I also like the look of Blue Divore Tailor on there too..incidently Denim Artisan are owned by them too..The indigo Collectives own brand of sweats and tee's are ones to look out for..

The line i recommend is Khozo...swiss brand..I think they are going to be big...

http://www.kohzo.ch/

Then obviously you have to look at 45RPM...

Another few brands for yah..

Kiminori Morishita

Ossa mondo

Julius

Mastermind japan

Roen / Hiromu Takahara

Roarguns

They are all very, very expensive Japanese brands...

Ripvanwinkle and Attatchment do some nice jeans too..

If you want the links just give me a shout.

may have been mentioned or obvious, but carrying all cuts of APC's line would be a good idea. Though I wasn't too impressed w/ their denim jacket.

I really like 5EP (5 Easy Pieces) too--very well made and nice subtle details. Though I wouldn't stock their button down shirts--the cut is all wacky.

PRPS is cool, but they are starting to get really popular. I don't know if you care about that though.

45 rpm is regarded by many on this board as being the 'rolls royce' of japanese denim.

Incidentally, where is your store located?

My store is located in Pentagon city row outisde od washington DC in Arlington Va.

Thank you everyone fo rhelping me out. Now I have to figure out how to get the Japanese lines. From my understanding the Japanese lines don't need to leave Japan and Europe becasue their own market is so fierce.

45rpm doesn't wholesale to the US except to it's own store in NYC.

If anyone can put me in contact with some Japanese reps I will carry the line and all you denim heads can stop paying crazy shipping fees and tax ( if you live outside VA) and pay in American dollars.

The Julian Red is a no brainer and I will be in contact with them.

I would like to carry some more Japanese lines I have a ton of stuff from the US.

I already carry

Nudie, Prps,BlueBlood,Notify,Evisu,Lee x-line,Acne jeans,Chip and pepper and many many more. Tsubi, Rag and Bone , Levi's will be in for fall along with a whole bunch of others.

My staple general public jeans are locked down. I really now want to focus on the good shit.

you do realise if you carry any of these japanese lines you'll have to mark it up..

Import duties tax, customs, stamp duties and a few others will all come into play...i'm not sure on your Tax regulations in the states...but i know that's the reason why a lot of british retailers won't touch the stuff...

Time spent wishing...is time wasted

jhaime,

All that's already taken into account at wholesale or it should be. the dollar (knock on wood) is getting stronger which helps me.

What's plays a huge role is where the product is distributed. If I have to go to Japan that sucks. If they have a showroom then it's good for me.

I just want to know where I can get it and see if it's worth my while.
