I mean i ain't sayin names, since we don't want to name drop but my boy (who is white, so you might have heard of him) is in the studio w/ rae and ghost all the time. that's a very good question. if and when this gets settled, by asking the one guy i said in the first post could settle the issue (the chef himself), and it turns out that Rae says

ok, just called my other boy, because i don't have the direct #of the cat who records with Rae. holmes said, after laughing for a while, that wouldn't it be funny, having Rae come on here and post to settle shit. it would be worth all this bickering for that piece of entertainment, you have to agree on that at the very least. but a call and text were placed, the wheels are in motion. he'll ask Rae if it's "dough" with an -id prefix, or straight up 'Ditto'.

alright.. alright.. alright.. I've watched this thread from its inception and refrained

from adding on to it because I refuse to get caught up in message board beef as well as

have to explain myself to anyone who has an opinion about what I, or Mighty Healthy

does. With that said, I felt that I had to say something about this ridiculous debate

and try to diffuse peoples emotions a lil bit. I have never seen so many people so

adamant about a $24 t-shirt. I wish that people would put this much energy into things

that really mattered.

This is the one and ONLY comment I am making and then I am off to more pressing issues.

The spelling of the lyrics here is really irrelevant. Whats more important is the

inspiration of the idea. We get our inspiration from our existing lifestyle; not what

we read about or see on TV. I am 31 years old and have been listening to hip hop since

1983. I have been DJing since 1988. I have a record collection that would rival some

radio stations. I have done beats for people that you probably have in your own

collection, and alot of heads in NYC and other cities can attest to "how real I am"

It's great for me to hear the positive and negative feedback of a t-shirt that we put

out, but don't question our integrity. We didn't move to New York from somewhere else.

We are not chilling in a big loft in Soho. We are in tiny ass apartments with cracks in

the ceiling and flickering lights like everyone else.

OK.. thats pretty much all I have to say. Once again thanks for the support as well as

in all honesty, saw a dude at Nom de Guerre rocking it. saw it and wanted to tell you/ask someone over there about it, but had no means to do so. thus the posting on SF.

i too have been heavily into hiphop for some time('89). word to tiny ass apts., DJ'ing, beats etc. been there. and i don't care how real/true/down people think i am in any realm, i do my own thing. my record collection is not impressive because i sold them all to make t-shirts. they're basically done, still in woven label production hell. if you see em and don't like em, that's your right. i wouldn't consider it hating on me.

i think it's dough with an -id, you think it's ditto. to you, spelling is irrelevant. to me, your spelling makes no sense. we agree that the song and hence the idea is inspiring. but really only Raekwon knows and i'm still curious...

(and yes, i am doing a Wu-inspired shirt, which is why this caught my eye).

either way thank you, even for the sarcasm. what you have misinterpreted as 'hate' is not that. you are indeed doing your thing. but still, to people like us (purists, if you will) little details like that matter. aesthetically i like the shirt but the idea fell short in my eyes, which is my right. that's not hating.

Actually we've made a couple of 6XLs for our closest friends!!!!

but actually we do make 2X regularly.. they just go fast! We are making a lot more this season. 3X and higher costs considerably more, and then doesn't get ordered as much by stores. Hopefully, if we grow some more we can make the bigger sizes more available. Trust me, we get a lot heat about that!

nevertheless, my boy did clear up the 'ditto' thing, because he said "Ditto, as in 'yeah whatever you just said' ditto, or like 'ditto that' etc. is not what he meant." so you can claim artistic freedom etc., but it's just not ditto. plain and simple. (that is, he did NOT mean "CONNECT POLITIC AND DO IT AGAIN"...see earlier posts hee hee)
