Damn! I had the Horween leather factory on my "go to" list for Chicago but Nick Horween said he'd be all tied up next week with clients, etc. No, I don't actually know Nick Horween personally, but he replied promptly to my e-mail and said that they do actually have tours once in a while. Hopefully I can make it out to one of them during my time with the jeans...One thing I can do for sure though, is eat eat eat!

yeah, I emailed Horween a couple months ago and they said they would notify me of tours if they were going to do an educational tour.

As far as food, Alinea is pricey. Hit up Sun Wah BBQ at their new joint up north.

That's it for tonight folks but expect a big day tomorrow! I got these a day earlier than expected so this update was a bit rushed. No fit pics or measurements because I was so excited I washed them without even thinking but I must say I enjoy the fit very much and even want a pair for my own. Strange thing is, I had a 31 that fit too loose on me before and these fit just right...goes to show how much weight I've gained the last 2 years...

Anyways hope you enjoyed this mini-update...I'll be posting daily so keep a lookout! If you have any requests or things you'd like to see me do in these jeans/places to go just hit me up!

Damn I'm tired...spent last night tossing and turning thinking about things I could do in these jeans for the tour (no lies)...Anyways here's a mid-day update although nothing to interesting really since I was working...

As you can see there are some pretty interesting entries in the journal (hello beatle)

Went to the mall and some naked guy tried to steal the jeans!

Saw this little guy when I got home...

And then ate some generic Chinese takeout leftovers...

...and we're back! Went to visit my girlfriend today who is in town for the weekend from Chicago...She insisted on a night of crafts, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs and the Wild Wings of Buffalo...

Getting my fancy crafts on

Look at all the pretty embossing shapes!

Basically (for those who didn't know), you dab ink on the embossing stencil thing, dab the stencil on a piece of paper, pour magic powder on top, use a heat gun to melt the powder and VOILA!: fancy craftswork!

Of course I realized after the fact that I could've embossed some fancy designs in the World Tour Journal but I didn't have it with me...!

After the movie we ran across to Buffalo Wild Wings for some food...Honey BBQ Bacon Burger and a variety of spicyness...

^ Just til Thursday but gonna be pretty booked up schedule wise...sufu meetup would've been fun otherwise (did a Chicago meet up ever happen? haven't been checking the superofficial thread...)

BTW- Can't remember if I got back to you twisted, but Nick Horween said they've been wanting to set up a factory tour for the Ask Andy About Clothes bunch but told me he'd contact me if that ever does in fact go down (and I'm assuming he'd contact you too)...

Day 3

Spent the majority of the day in a car but before we left we did a bit of shopping and eating...(Yes I'm wearing the same thing as yesterday...not accustomed to the abnormal warm weather!)

Neehee's Indian Vegetarian Street Food...one of the BEST "restaurants" (its street food...) in the Metro Detroit area hands down...Luckily for me they set up shop across the street from my house...

The menu is pretty big

After eating we went to Michael's Crafts store (for more embossing accessories)

Sometimes I forget to tuck my tail in...

We hit the road

we hit some pretty bad traffic...stuck for about an hour

You can usually get to Chicago on one tank from where I live (3 1/2 - 4 hour drive) but we decided to fill up an hour outside the city at the infamous "Sawyer, MI exit 12 spot" also known as the "former Megabus stop/Adult Bookstore stop"

We had so much luggage/groceries etc we had to use a cart to run things up to my girlfriends apartment...Made for a thrilling ride on the way back down 39 floors
