I think there definitely is a double standard on the board, however I totally see why haptronic would have locked the thread and I let him know I understood why he did it, and have no hard feelings about it.

However if the thread had been started by cheep for instance, or Begs, or one of the girls for that matter, would it have been locked?

If the first page of responses were only members who had been here for 2 years + and have 2000 posts + would the thread have been locked?

If jmatsu started the thread and the female members responded to the thread saying "this sounds like fun" would the thread have been locked?

anything should go in supertrash, unless it is SERIOUSLY objectively offensive to one member or the community as a whole

or it is breaking the rules of the site

to me it's an issue of superfuture rules of conduct and general policy.

obviously no mod can perfectly adhere to them, because of certain grey areas, but i perosnally find this lockdown to be hypocritical (when other so-called double standard/general-rule breaking threads/comments still exist).

i haven't been on this board long enough, but one thing i DO know is how an innocent topic or a comment can turn vicious and hurtful in a heartbeat. vast majority of you may focus solely on the fashion aesthetics a female member can deliver, but i know for a fact immature comments will be made at one point, focusing on physical appearance or ePersona one may resent... basically turning this place into a highschool male locker room with doors wiiiiide open for any female members to read.

girls don't mind guys talking about tits and ass, but we do mind guys talking about OUR tits and ass.

with that said, i think everybody should go back to leah dizon vs. maria ozawa thread and crown either one of them for 2007 miss sufu.

i'm guilty of making some slimey public commentary toward female members, but i've never ever pmmed one. infact i've only actually met up with 3 actual members (2 male, one female).
