Skinny Chicago dwellers take note: I figured it's better to reply to topics than make all new ones, even if I have to dust them off. Anyway, here's what GAMMA sent me as a final reminder:

For some of you less familiar with Gamma, they're the brainchild of Jeff Mills and his wife, Yoko Uozumi, who you can find behind the counter most days. The price point is pretty steep, ($250 for a shirt) but they really go out of their way to carry a very unique stock, and their slim menswear can't be beat in this city. The last time I was there with a friend she told me she felt like it cost money just to look at some of the stuff, but the women's collection is beautiful too, with some more affordable and unique jewelery. Everything is definitely carefully selected; if you haven't been before, I'd suggest you go at least to have a look at a beautifully set up shop.

Also, a review I found...

The shop is pretty chic. It is all black with men’s clothes on the right and

woman’s clothes on the left. In the center there is a big table with

accessories. In the back there are some architecture books and CDs for sale.

When I was there Mills’ mix of Jaguar was playing. Every time I grabbed a

different shirt to look at the sales woman would say in her thick accent,

‘This shirt is from Brazil,’ or ‘This shirt is from Japan,’ or ‘This shirt

is from Italy.’

Aha - I had posted a thread about this place right when i discovered them. They're actually right around the corner from where I live, and it's seriously awesome. I've spent a good deal of money there now, and hope they last.. a boutique with their stock is fighting an uphill battle in Chicago. They are the only place in the US to stock Lad Musician and WJK though. I hit up the sale a few days ago, and not much of either was left, however, but there was still a lot of great stuff from their other mens labels. Yoko said that they would be putting out their fall selection around July.
