HARDCORE SAVED MY LIFE

Recommended Posts

For once Im going to agree with Constant Struggle. I saw the Banner in July, they opened for Ringworm and were solid and fit on a true hardcore bill just fine. Theyre just not jocked to high hell, so people dont get it.

When you say "jocked"...do you mean "bro'd up"...or just people don't make it a point to suck dick as soon as they are mentioned/get on stage?

blank stare apparently try to stay off the internet as much as possible, no myspace or anything. there is a blog (incredibly infrequently updated) that has a few songs, i think they just or are just putting out their full length now... if it's anything like the rest of their stuff its worth buying without a doubt.

FORCE OF CHANGE? HEAVIEST EDGE BAND PERIOD. AND THE HARDEST. SO FUCKING HARD (8).

i dunno can't take edge bands seriously, all the lyrics are just cheesy to me.. even have heart, but they have variety so i can dig them a little more.

and i'm actually bummed llt broke up. they were a local band, so i saw them quite often around the area.

but definetely cheesier and shittier. bro-beatdown at it's finest, but thats not saying much.

Thank you for further perpetuating the use of my single most favorite term in referencing that type of hardcore.

in that vein, S.S decontrol.. thats the way.

do we have a crust thread on sufu? late 80's crust is the way to go Electro hippies, extreme noise terror, nausea, disrupt ect.

Ha I was going to say that...been listening to the Taste of Fear/Disrupt split, a few Nausea joints ("Electrodes" off of the Murders Among Us comp), and some other goodies from the crustier side of planet-hardcore-punk.

That being said, I've definitely been on a hometown kick (and I guess NJ...1-2 from across the waters)...whether it's the usual ABC No Rio culprits (do I really need to mention names again?)...to the Cro Mags demo, Leeway, Beyond...Life's Blood, Absolution, Burn...jeez. I also have to add Monster X and Black Army Jacket (especially the latter). There's probably some more but I'm not in the best state of mind to remember at the moment.
