does any place here do jean tapering from outseam for selvedge jeans ?

I don't think that you want to touch the outseam as that is generally the selvedge seam. I had the Warehouse 660 contest jeans tapered at a tailor on Georgia Street, on the south side of the street, halfway between Burrard and Thurlow (can't remember what they are called now). They did the inseam to make sure that the selvedge wasn't touched.

Initially the woman there said she wouldn't do it for me but after I dropped mad denim knowledge on her she realized I wasn't crazy - or maybe that I really was - at any rate, she did a great job.
