I know there have been alot of threads asking about jeans, but this is for selvedge denim only.

List any and all brands you know that make a selvedge jean, and list where you can buy them if possible.

Nudies for 5 months and going

a couple lesser known selvage jeans

Ace 1954-S - buckleback redline selvage using Japanese denim based on Levis. German made by "Dress-O-Rama", who makes lots of repro retro clothing. a steal at $90

acejean.gif

and locally in socal, the EVIL jeans which are repros of 1937 Levis 501xx bucklebacks sold at Sugar Lee in Long Beach's antique row. not bad for under $100, using redline selvage

out of those brands, can anyone tell me a company that makes a dry selvedge cut similar to the nudie RR's and/or the Nudie Loose Franks?

They got a list of stockist on their website. I know for shure they're available at SOLO Göteborg, don't know if that's to far away for you tho.

The california model is nice, wearing it right now. It's real slim fitting, medium rise and slightly tapered. Never actually tried the APC unisex so I wouldn't know how they compare in fit.

Price is totally reasonable. 1099 SEK for the unwashed california (~150 USD).

how about TOUGH jeans?

http://www.toughjeans.com/en/layout/subpage.php

Thanks. I've only seen selvage used as decorative detail on Tough jeans so far (belt loops, pockets) and, if memory serves, often not real denim selvage but sewn-on woven ribbons. I've not seen a full selvage outseam from Tough, though it's likely they have probably done them. Do you have any selvage jeans from Tough?

  • 2 weeks later...

Hello, we are the guys from the company called Dress-O-Rama, we designed the Ace Jeans and we ahve a little request to make. We followed your interesting discussion about selvage denim for a while now and we noticed that our label name was mentioned on different occasions.

We just wanted to tell you guys that we had huge problems with our Ace Jeans production and that there are 1.000 "illegal" ones around.

We split up with our manufacturer last October because his delivery times became worse and worse...

We had a last deal with him about 1.000 pairs of jeans that he was supposed to deliver before christmas. They had our checkered flag embroidery on the back pockets in a straight line because Lee Jeans America told our lawyers we couldn´t use the "lazy S". We never got the jeans, even though we paid for them in full. But before christmas they popped up on Ebay.com together with our gabardine jackets and bowling shirts. We have a huge legal fight with our manufacturer now because he sold loads of Dress-O-Rama stuff behind our back.

If you want to know more, you can check out our website www.dress-o-rama.com .

But anyway, the reason why we post this is to ask for your help if anyone of you knows any shop that sells our Ace Jeans.

At the moment we are preparing a new style Ace Jeans that will be available from September onwards. The 14oz red-line-selvage denim is produced by Kaihara. If you are interested in selvage jeans generally, visit our webshop on our shop´s website www.rock-a-tiki.com . We also sell LVC, Lee Originals and Wrangler Blue Bell there.

We really appreciate any help! Annika & Alex @ Dress-O-Rama
