the underdog of the dress shoe world?

anyone else think this is a fantastic product line for a very reasonable (cheap?) price range?

I agree! They have super affordable shoes and a great range of styles, kinda like the Charles & Keith (Singapore brand) for us here in Australia.

i have a pair of suede bucks from there. i got them when i was in 5th grade and they still fit. nice shape and i think they were around $85

Theres something about Florsheim shoes that puts me off. I don't know exactly what it is.......but there is something haha.

i have a pair of florsheims that i use for school.

kangaroo leather.

nothing beats using the national animal for a shoe.

I remember years ago ( a decade or so, maybe longer), they had very nice wingtips. Real beefy joints with a heavy wide sole and a metal piece in the heel. They were $300 or so back then. I don't they make them anymore.

You get what you pay for. Everything about florsheim is mediocre, even dismal at times.

Not necessarily. Old-stock Florsheim (pre 1993ish, made in USA) is of very respectable quality and held in high regards even by shoe connoisseur over at the steez (who have seen anything from $1K+ Edward Green, Vass to bespoke shoes). Those vintage Florsheim regularly go for well over $100 on eBay

That said, current Florsheim do suck; they're about equal to Bostonian et al.
