demarco, definitely worth seeing and paying to see, imo. Daniel plays Daniel so well. Apparently, he didn't go out of character during the entire period of filming as well as a couple months beforehand.

okay, wikipedia says that paul and eli sunday are twin brothers, but this was my interpretation:

preacher boy goes to daniel plainview and tips him off about the oil field, using a false name to protect himself. he's quite savvy when he's there, negotiating to receive money up front for the information. then when daniel goes to check out the field paul's real name is revealed: eli. it's just a cool way of metaphorically dividing eli's identities -- and illustrates his two-facedness?

also seems a bit like a biblical reference to cain and abel.
