hmmmmn this thread feels familiar.

They're most definitely not cool. If you wear one people will think you're a hipster piece of shit who thinks they're fashion forward.

oh shit.

i have been seeing them alot at the salvation army which means they are probably on the way back out (if they are sitting on the racks in any numbers that usually means all the cool kids have stopped hunting them). but for $2 i pick them up all the time.

at my gallery last summer we sold a bunch and i have a bunch left still. 2 maroon (one with the atari logo painted on the shoulders) a couple black ones (2 are knockoffs), grey, navy and white/cream and a few others. i almost never wear any of them though.

and in black or maroon leather they are pretty great.

they were cool (okay acceptable) like 2-3 years before Urban Outfitters started carrying them and selling them for full retail of $59.50. And that was also 1-2 years ago. they are pretty much dead now as indicated by the low prices on ebay.

also see thread: why I hate urban outfitters

yeah, I wouldn't count on these things. Back in the fall I thought I'd try to jump on some "legacy" brands seeing how retro New Balance & Lacoste shit was selling for mad loot on eBay. Ended up buy 3 Members only jackets. 2 on ebay for okay prices-like $20 each. Then after I got them in the mail, found one at a thrift store for $5 that looked better. I still haven't worn any of them. I'll just hang onto them for another 5-10 years until they come back as an "ironic" thing (like fashion mullets) and try to get my money back out of them.

ps-side note, I did buy a pair of Jordache jeans for like $25 that I only got because they were Jordache (again the ironic thing, which as stated above, isn't really that cool) but now that I'm into denim, I noticed how incredibly nice these things faded with perfect whiskering and thigh/knee fade. decent honeycombs too. If they could be tapered they will be dope (they got some late 70's bellbottom/disco flare that just doesn't look right). Whenever I get unlazy, I will post them in the Denim evo thread.

i really regret not taking these off my dad's hands a while back, he got rid of the majority, if not all of them back in 2000 and had about a good 4 or 5 of them in different colors.

i think they'd still be great to have. i'd definitely still wear them, in fashion or not.

Here in Sweden people buy these for about 200 dollars.

I've got a turquoise windbreaker that is new,

a slate blue to navy windbreaker that is vintage,

and what I can only assume is a fake vintage leather that I would be embarrassed to sell. All cafe racer style. sizes run from 40-44.

I will sell these at a good price if you want to be my middle man.

Actually, this offer goes out to anybody who lives in a big city where all the thrift/vintage stores get picked over. I live outta the way, so decent shit isn't hard to find. This past fall I found a vintage Nike Windrunner for $5 that I was seeing them sell on eBay for like $50. And recently found a pair of vintage Nike Cortez that I paid $4 for and they ended up selling to somebody on eBay for $80. Tell me what you're after and I'll be on the hunt. I really like doing it--garage sales, thrifting, crate digging; but half the time I'm just shooting blindly. Let me know what you're looking for and I'll get it if I see it.

I like them, I got mine for 15 bucks at a 2nd hand store. Let it be known that anybody who buys one from Urban Outfitters for full price should be shot. Recently other companies like Adidas and Levis along with some skate companies have sold jackets that are similar to members only aswell. I still need to find me a good leather one

kim jones is coming out with an obviously members only inspired leather jacket this winter. very nice. comes in grey or black. the line price was 250.00, so i guess it retails 500.00. fit seemed great!

I picked up a white one last year for a hipster trash party. It doesn't get much wear, but I found a blue one that my mom's bf had and I piece it with a grey houndstooth print hoodie which keeps it from looking too hipster. It just looks like a windbreaker over a hoodie, but I'm a fan of epaulets, so it fits my style.
