What type of Dress shoe should I look at...

I would suggest a dark brown pair of plain-toe bluchers, 2 or 3 eyelets. The Paul Smiths above would work well and would be even better w/o the wingtip.

English Benchmade is the way to go. Look for lace-ups with a chisel toe (not to be confused with a pointed toe). Chelsea boots can be good too.

Many high end brands use the two following companies to make their shoes (and I don't mean poorly made, but expensive luxury brands like Prada, Gucci , etc).
