just saw metric y crystal castles last night in chicago...

didn't really know what to expect, but with a live drummer and that crazy broad flailing around the stage + no lights except constant strobe shit was extra grimey.

metric was suprisingly good...

now just waiting for justice next month...

oh. and on a recommendation note,

any Bloody Beetroots remixes are CHOICE.

especially the two Timbaland remixes they dropped earlier this month.

I don't remember why, but I downloaded the Bang Gang album the other day (the two-disk mix one). Did anyone else find it rather mediocre? Maybe mine's a poor-quality rip (although it's supposed 320), but it's really kind of muddy. Tracklist is nothing impressive, either. Sort of dissapointed since I liked the "preview" mix or whatever.

Not a big fan of any of the mixes posted on Bigstereo for that matter, either (including that Clash the Disco one just posted). I'm not at home at the moment, but I did run across a couple really good house mixes that don't have Justice / Klaxons / Daft Punk / Riot in Belgium / etc... on it. I'll post them up once I get a chance.

yeah i was fully into plant, but after all the sound of comps and the glass lp they didn't do shit except push mainline. i didn't even know until recently that they changed their site into blog format. is the sabotage orchestra just a side project joke or do they play out live, cause their myspace was used fake pics from black sabbath and shit?

sabotage, i think, is just a jokey side project thing from a few of the behind the scenes people at plant. never even heard of them playing live or DJing out or anything.

Servo...do you still have the source link for the full album? Could you PM me if you do?? I really didn't like preview mix at all so I didn't bother buying their album. The first full album of their's which came out a few years ago 'Mashed II' was really good at the time.

omc, this isn't bad.

the drums need alot more depth... they're too thin, and a little tooo New Order-ish.

the synths sound a bit cheap, but besides that, it's got a nice vibe, I just don't think you develope the atmosphere or melody enough.

Show was good and the crowd got into it for once in my history of living here which was a big surprise, but my god are San Diego college students some ignorant motherfuckers.

Yes to the first, me neither / can't find them to the second and third. Figured the live show might be a good time so I went anyway. I'm just not a fan of shirts that have the whole "tour" line-up / band names thing going on like this one did, and I would have had to have put like 4 layers of white ink over it to cover up the parts I didn't care for (white shirt).

Depending on how prominent the text is / color of the shirt on the Dandi Wind, you could probably do the same thing.
