There are two sides to the joining-sufu-and-replacing-your-wardrobe story. For the most part, it is people who are trying to be cool and buying the flavor of the month. However, staying with the flavor analogy, suppose I joined a cookie club and was introduced to gingersnaps--having never tried them before--and became addicted. It just so happens that this cookie club favors gingersnaps. Of course, ther are other members in the club who buy lots of gingersnaps, but they do it just because that is the cookie du jour. They do not crave gingersnaps as I do.

you are not the only poster that i have held up a cold objective mirror to. those that simply brush it off, have enough sense of security that it does not affect them. for those that catch feelings (like you, profmonitoff, westside, sayword, jayrock, n0b, ichigo, jmatsu, superchief, just to name a few), obviously something i said must have struck a nerve.

your just lame, everyone sees this but you. You're tired, you're played, how many more remarks can you do till someone is fucking tired?

nice name dropping too, yea we are all against you because you are so important....

listen, child. i try to call it like i see it, without prejudice. perhaps you honestly believe your crash-course evolution of style is your own doing. perhaps it even is; more improbable things have happened. however, i happen to think your opinion on this matter is very biased, whereas mine is completely objective. what is there for me to gain or lose? nothing to gain, certainly, since you are pretty popular by now and i will simply incur the hostility of your fans by daring to say anything against the holy worm.

the problem is, is that you aren't really qualified to even "try to call it" or say shit. you're like a vegan talking shit at a bbq. reason being is that your sufu-existence IS worthless, or pointless. you have nothing to say in regards on what most of this fashionforum is passionate about.

"catch feelings" and "something i said must have struck a nerve?" this IS your entire agenda. and it's tired. it's also that much more irritating because unlike other dummies you haven't learned anything/improved, yet you think you've got some kind of right to talk all this horseshit. and of course you are gonna strike a nerve. people on sufu are passionate about fashion/facets of pop-culture/etc, and you, you're just some random uneducated jerk-off who continues to spew the same type of dribble over and over. a "troll" classification is too good for you. (in some cases you're a bug trying to topple gods. usually you're a turd who thinks he better than his other fellow-turds...you actually try to jump outta the toilet before someone like flushes your like away.

alot of shit talkers talk shit but have the sense to remain silent after getting schooled, stick to comments based on their forte, actually improve, and most importantly contribute something of worth.

and don't front like you don't "catch feelings" or don't give a fuck. tinkerbell, you might have the physique of an erect muscled wild boar, but on the inside you're probably more pussy-sensitive than the majority here, that you mistakenly think you've flamed. that's why you are unable to open up the cans of shut-the-fuck-up that alota people have been barraging you with.

2008, year of the rat. ironically it doesn't seem to be your year.

how do you skate looking like that?? doesn't everyone make fun of you for being the "fag skater"?

seriously!? ...you must skate by urself.

i see nothing wrong with ur fit in a different context, but its not something that really goes with skating. I mean skating is not just a physical activity, its also culture. its like seeing someone surfing and wearing neon pink speedos.

omega comment was great!

fashion evolution is fine, but it should maintain integrity. there is none if the evolution happens over night or if the subjects don't respect/understand the clothing or particular aesthetics.

anyway i think most of us know who's shit is genuine versus the wardrobes that are hollow or contrived. nothing wrong with change, just do it right. do it with some integrity, respect, and what most would like to see, innovation.

also i don't wanna reiterate some of my past posts, but timing is an important factor!

Well put. I'm not necessarily against the "overnight" change either, as long as it feels right / looks good. I'm with milspex in that if I change aesthetics, I'd rather start building up a 'new' wardrobe and just change over to it in one fell swoop as opposed to trying to constantly work them into a wardrobe I already have.

I agree as well. It's hard to get a few things and do the transition slowly because it ends up looking all wrong.

No matter what though, this site is such a small population of people and to say there is a trend of 'everyone' switching from one aesthetic to the next is kinda off.

We're all in a small petri dish and it's easy to see two people change their way of dress and all the sudden say everyone is doing it.

Shit, I walked through NY for a week and didn't see one person wearing BW....

you're right servo. it's possible that the overnight change could work, but i think it would work only in appearance (yeah i know this is just a fashionforum:o ). like how a stylist or hair/makeup artist could change an actor's appearance for a movie role or video shoot. kinda like alota jap-fashionistas in tokyo. they've got the look, but should i respect them for just jumping on some shit that the stylists or fashion-media dictated to them? i mean, purveyors of certain styles who've exausted many a resource and who have invested into not just a cluthin aesthetic but a lifestyle are talking the talk and walking the walk.

anyway this probably ain't as important as it might sound. i think most of the sensible people here have an innate sense as to what is good, what is honest and waht is contrived...no matter the evolution's duration. i just think that overnight shit is way harder to pull off and most often than not, artificial.
