One of the great things about selvage denim is that holes don't really spread like inferior jeans. It is not likely for selvage denim jeans to rip. That is why for such a long time, Levi's had "every garment guarenteed" on their jeans. I don't wear these jeans very often because there is no way they will ever be washed again.

The John Varvatos jeans are great. I haven't worn them since I got my A.P.C.s though. I dont think they will fade much. I have tried rubbing some dye out with a towel wet with hot water and didn't remove any. They are made out of selvage denim and are cut very much like APC unisex. They are nice and cheap!

I kinda like the unfinished hem!

serge, have you seen the selvedge denim from topman under premium denim?

how good are they? they looked quite nice though with assorted coloured buttons at the fly,

suspender buttons and cinch back...

32 will go 30"-29" aftr wash? i think i will have a post it note on my jeans

to remind myself "dry cleaning only"

now i'm worried...got to get my brother...maybe an exchange...sshhhhiiite

Script, I'm digging the selvage jean! It says that it is dryclean only. I wonder if that means it is shrink to fit.

serge, them topman jeans didn't shrink.

maybe some but i didnt feel it. didnt dry clean them though.

soaked in cold water. as i was covered with indigo dye and

thankfully i didn't looked like a walking selvedge denim.

i will need to wear it as much so the stainings wil run off asap.

really worth. got it for £55.icon_smile_approve.gif got yours?

i wouldnt dare to say for mine.

my actual waist is 33" but slip on a 34". [for future's sake] icon_smile_wink.gif

but based on my brother's [a 32"] it seems there's room for gluttony.

about an inch to an inch half and that's after cold soaking them too.

he's complaining now.

why not go try them?

sorry wish i could be more specific.icon_smile_blush.gif

well, I am in California and it looks like they only sell within the uk. can you pick me up a pair and I'll paypal you the money?

Nomasloco, thanks! be careful, selvage denim is addictive!

BTW, look what I bought! after 4 years of wanting a pair I finally have one, but they are too short for me! oh well, they were cheap! [urlhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6761742552&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1</a>

mcjohn: it was a pair of Levi's where the arcuate was fucked up in some really weird way, sorta like the machine slipped 3 inches when doing the arcuate to the left pocket. It was deadstock as nobody back then wanted it and it somehow slipped through quality control. They were Big E and 33x35 and sold for around 25.000$ I think(might have been 250.00$ though)..

Those WareHouse are pretty sweet, I'd still take my new 0-wash versions over those ;)

Sweet! I saw a pair like those Sears ones you have in a lot on ebay last year. Those repro lees look pretty rare, I haven't seen those before. Do you wear the sears ones very often?

Script I am 33 waist and 31+ in the inseam. I like to get a tight jean and stretch into them, so a lot of times I get a 32 and stretch it out.

Cheers, Joel

serge, if you're 33" how did you end up getting that pair of 31" OC-C=C-CO jeans that you showed us last time?
