Collarless button-down shirts

Been seeing a lot of these recently. What are your opinions about them?

I dont like them when they are completely made of shirting fabric but I've seen some nice ones made of jersey with cotton shirting collar, placket and bib...

I like henleys too... but like some one else said not A&F. I'm just lucky the brand hasnt really come to Sydney.

Mandarin collars are higher, typical of those traditional chinese silk coats that fat-ass Steven Segal wears to look more sagacious or "worldly" or whatever he's shooting for.

As mentioned above, collarless shirts were popular for some reason in the early 90s. They have an inherently antiquated, peasanty look, like they should be worn with a broad-brimmed straw hat by someone in a buggy with a beard who thinks pockets are "proud." So, if that's the look you want, by all means.
