question for a sweater

Hey guys, Not sure if this is the right forum but here goes....

I recently picked up this sweater but the sleeve length is too long, is there anything I could do to bring the length down? I'm gonna try to wash in hot water and then drying it in the dryer, but if that doesn't work any other ideas.. Thanks in advance.

Maybe take it to a tailor. It depends on the material though.

Thanks for the replies, I'll do that today. The sweater is made entirely out of cotton so hopefully that is good.

Is it knit or woven.

If it's knit you will run into a few issues, but nothing that can't be solved by inraveling and reknitting
