cuff wear?

n00b question i know. so i ride my bike everywhere and am wondering what the eventual effect of rolling/unrolling the cuff will look like. generally i have just had my 'day jeans' that i cuff permanently and then my 'evening jeans' that never get cuffed at all. if i unroll a pair of the 'day jeans' they have an ugly horizontal wear mark at the fold (usually i fold them up twice, so actually two lines). i am in love with my new sugar canes and want to basically live in them. but will rolling my pantleg ruin the fade with weird looking creases? :confused:

You could try rolling the cuff instead of folding it, which would not form a crease, but cuff wear can actually look quite nice. You should check out Paul T's LVCs:

i ride my bike like crazy too...and i too didn.t like the horizontal cuff lines....at first. but it has a certain character to it.

As an alternative, why not pin roll? hella old school.

you'd have to hem them to 26" to avoid them going between the gears or hitting the pedals of your bike

I occasionally fold my jeans inside the house because I dont like stepping on them, what I do is I usually always fold them at a different spot so it doesn't form a crease. when I ride my bike I just stick the inside part of the cuff in my socks to avoid them hitting the pedals or gears.

Wear longish socks and tuck the cuff on the gear side into your sock. I see that done a lot

You can get some sort of ankleband which should keep a nice hold on your jeans so they wont get greased up.

glue them to your leg with two-part epoxy

woah those lvcs DO look nice. the fade is subtle.. distinctive but not overpowering. me likes. i think ill just keep doing what i do, and see what comes of it. cheers.
