maybe i'm wrong but it looks like a thomson x2.

im about to buy a track bike but is it a good price for it:

http://www.leaderbikestore.com/pd_ld_735tr_2008_track_frame.cfm

im getting a full carbon: fork, stem, seatpost and an FSA headset.

My local bike shop is offering 600 for all of it cuz i help him out a lot.

should i?

Erm, what components will it be equipped with? It's easy for a bike guy to say, "Oh sure, I'll give you a deal and sell it to you for $600" when in reality he's not giving you a deal at all.

diewhitegirls - thanks. i bought those hangers at the container store for like 10 bucks a piece. there pretty descent, just happened to be in the store buying other things and happened to pick these up as well. they're drilled into the studs.

I dont know anything about the frame, but you do the math, if hes giving you the frame with those components for $600 your saving $120 on the online price, so its not a bad deal, its up to you if you think its worth it or not.

I wish chains or cables or something were said to be more secure so i could carry it around more easily. I hate bringing a bag around solely for a ulock.

Any quality chain (kryptonite, onguard, etc) is going to be just as strong as a u lock. The only thing I have heard about chains being inferior is that you can use a jack to break it, but thats not really a problem if you lock it so there isn't a lot of slack.

hhm, I'm kinda contemplating whether i should pick up that bianchi frameset for $250.

im thinking 49" is kinda small.

Is there an online place that just sells a singlespeed frameset for a decent price?

i would go for it. I dont think itll be too small. I believe 49cm has a standover of 29". I'm about 5'7'' and 51cm is just perfect. plus its a pretty good deal. if u can get it for 200 then itll be a GREAT deal.

alot of people down here in Irvine, Newport Beach, and Costa Mesa have that frame

so far ive heard only mixed reviews

but one review that ive been constantly hearing is that the 735tr frame creaks

especially near the top tube and seat tube

besides that ive heard its pretty tough

and besides

if its good for Emi from Mash

im pretty sure its a good frame

hey m1sterko

those are some pretty decent prices

but i don't get what they are selling

so how much is frame and fork?

and then the whole bike?

whats bike with adrenaline kit?

.....wait, wha....so how much is the whole bike going to cost me?

umm frame / fork will run you 299 w/ 25 shipping fee

the adrenaline kit is like... a complete set up (what adrenlaline bikes wanna put on it) and itlll be 499 with 25 shipping.

pretty reasonable bikes tere (therse one in garden grove i believe)

but i think imma get this bike.. only reasonable fixed gear around my part of town. (mercier is a repro of khs flites i believe w/ lower quality components than the adrenaline build i believe)

do bike stores usually offer a down payment / leasing sort of option?

say for a 700 dollar bike, you put down 300 and then pay thru credit card $100 each month till its piad off?

Big shops will offer financing.

Though not below a certain price-point, usually.

Leasing is where you don't own whateveritis, mate, it's a long-term rental...
