Best dry Denim for under $200

sugarcane 45 or 47. the best cost-performance you'll find anywhere, especially if you like the way they fit. apc ns unfortunately doesn't even come close, which is something that becomes very obvious after the first wash.

sewing chop is an interesting call, though. can't vouch for their long-term performance, yet. whiskey can probably give us an update in a bit.

Where did you find SC 47s for under 200 I paid 233 for mine?

i got sc45s from coldrice for 178 or so when he still had his services. try 2000db when he returns from his "vacation"

as for my recommendation i'd say get a pair of sc45s or lvc 47s. both are great buys for under 180..

I agree with the comments about SC47. It's an excellent pair of jeans in terms of denim quality and sewing quality (Quality is much higher than APC rescue). Very nice leather patch. If you like the fit, it's probably the best option under 200$.

You could stretch your budget a bit more (225$) and buy the PBJ XX-003 from BiG. The fit is more modern than SC47. Denim & sewing quality is top notch.

between skulls, ande whall, and sugarcane, which have the most superior denim. which would retain the most indigo, which fade better? Im trying to also take into consideration how easily i can get a pair, having to order online thru a japanese site, or if i can go to a local store and get a good price.

i think im really considering the SC '47s seeing as though they are great quality from wht i know and i found them at a great price.

I have no experience with canes, but I do with AW and skulls.

The AW I had were LHT, extremely soft, not very creasy, but they had nice soft creases still, they faded very well for the lack of activity in them, they keep getting softer and softer, and are smooth to the touch. He is using a different denim right now, but he has very exacting standards for the denim, so you'll be getting good ish from him. The color in the fade was beautiful, it was a mch softer fade, not a lot of contrast, but the color was beautiful, rich, without looking neonish, and smooth and even, no sharp edges.

My current babies, my skulls, were almost scratchy at first, and stiff, not from starching, but just, i think, from the denim possibly hanging or laying flat to dry (they are one rinse). After a day or so of wearing they softened up like butter, they were hell to break in (I do the opposite of STF to get my fit), but now that they have broken in, it was worth it. They are super soft, I love the pocket placement, the abscense of logo's the little tab I can fiddle with on the corner of my pocket, my red leather patch. I dont like the fact that when i sit down the give me coinslot while being higher than most of my other jeans, but that has more to do with the straight cut than anything, and they took a while to get good creasing.

Both pairs have soft creasing, they dont have sharp pointed tips to the creases, the creases are more rounded with the valleys more pronounced than the peaks.
