Rakuten Pea Coat...

Has anyone bought this Pea coat yet, if so what is it like? Any pictures? ( http://www.rakuten.co.jp/super-rag/523562/587395/#573724 ) I know quite a few of you were thinking about it, if you didnt end up getting it, id love to hear why...

I was looking at it. Mostly didn't buy because I didn't want to order something from a foreign country where I wasn't sure of the fit or the comfort of the material.

well, all i know is, i'd love to find this sucka in a small... unless the mediums are small enough to fit me. i take a 34. i say go for it.

My medium measures a little over 17 inches across. Definately a small by american standards.

17" inches mean 34"= a tight coat made for a size 32/42. Are you sure the 17 isn't a typo?

I mean it's pretty damn tight, which could benefit some of the ultra slim posters we got here. A size 32 is actually an XXXS in most brands...if it's a size 34 (18" accross) then it's an XXS, still pretty hardcore. How does it fit you and how slim are you anyway? Seems like a good buy for the price.

I really hope the good folks at rakuten will be able to switch my order to a large from a medium (37'' for me)... just finished emailing them saying my address was fine and to send away immediately. Now I'm hitting them up again asking for a switch. If only their size chart was accurate.

Lesson learned: inquire directly about sizes before ordering.

Do you know where their 100 cm measurement comes from? I assumed that was for the chest. 100 cm/2.54 = approximatley 40 inches... which would make sense for a pea coat to be worn in cooler weather.

Keep checking - I've noticed them move from "in stock" to "low stock" numerous times after buying mine. Will look into getting some pics up after I pick it up tonight!

DD, quick question about your Sterlingwear pea coat. How is the sleeve length? I changed my order from a 34 to 36 for fear of the sleeves being to short. I am 5'11.

Sleeve length measures the same at 18 inches, but I was thinking with a tighter chest it would pull the sleeves up the arm more.

Hmm, yeah, my shoulders aren't that broad. My chest is really close to a 36 though. I hope the shoulders will look right. I guess I will have to see.

Length: 27.5" (bottom of collar to end of jacket - taken along back)

Arms: 25" (shoulder to cuff)
