great as always, and the jab at chanel was a good thing to see from someone as important as him. i never see anyone wear his clothes, but i'm glad that someone out there is giving him money to keep doing it.

Walter's work is actually pretty wearable out of the context of the shows, especially considering that the target audience is impossibly fabulous space men. I've seen it, in pictures, in the wild, and there's listings here and there on ebay etc. But the type of person who wears The Donckness and the type of person who posts on internet fashion forums or even the type of guy who takes pictures for fashion blogs probably doesn't have much overlap and doesn't travel in the same circles. I bet that there's a bunch of sick Donck fits in underground queer clubs you've never heard of that we're never going to see.

I am not at all knowledgeable about Walter's fundings, but it seems that he is busy doing tons of other projects meanwhile. First and foremost, he is a teacher at the Antwerp academy. On top of that he runs a store with Dirk Van Saene and I've been told he designs for Scapa.
