julian red crotch hole problem

so, after wearing my julian reds almost every day for the last 8 months or so i've developed a tear in the stitching at the crotch and a small hole is developing. it's not big and i don't really do anything to stretch it more, but obviously i'd like to arrest this problem sooner than later.

would a tailor do the trick, by sewing a piece of denim in there? how should i go about 'fixing' this?

pardon me if this problem's been posted/solved before. i did some searches but didn't really know what to look for.

In addition, if you're wearing your jeans for 8 months without washing them, there's little you can do to prevent this problem. The more you wear your jeans without washing, the less durable they are. (Unwashed, starchier denim is stiffer and more abrasive than softer washed denim)

well, i've washed them once, but the hole was already starting at that point...guess the tailor is my safest bet.
