It is not based solely on brand name recognition but rather the value/power of the brand.

Yes, they list the criteria used. It is a well thought out and good list imo.

by Louis Vuitton they probable mean the parent company, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennesy. They own so many different things, it's crazy.

Moet is on there seperately a little bit down, so that's a little confusing.
