the rakuten price (incl. tax but without shipping) for 811s are Y18690 = NT$5233 approx, so these are slightly more expensive. definitely more expensive than SC '47s

811s come in raw and one-wash, but again there's no reason to buy them raw when they are unsanforised anyway.

super, did you take any pics of the place when you were there? what were your impressions of the store in general?

Nope, unfortunately I did not bring my camera. The store seemed like any other botique type store but the interior was really small. 2 floors and filled with clothing. Bottom floor has a good selection of Futura stuff and a few pairs of raw eternals. They also had some washed versions but those didn't look too great. The rest of the store basically consisted of so-so american brands on the top floor and ugly jeans with large prints on the bottom racks. Store clerk was busy sorting out new stuff.

are those jeans better? This is going to be my first pair of nice jeans.

okis and hawaiis are around the same price i think, but either way you can get loads of good stuff for under 20000 yen. read around for a bit in the Sugarcane thread, and when you go to japan have a list of jeans you want to try on. the trick is to control the urge to buy everything on that list...because really even no. 1 special evisus aren't that expensive when purchased in store. or sorahikos.

The denim on these is the same as the ones I have, and just need to vouch that they are awsome. I had a pair of canes, and these are alot more "rough."

rough? how so? i believe the denim is slightly heavier, but don't know how that translates to feel

Wow chill down there fella. First thing, I think if you'd take some time to read this forum you will see that most of us have agreed that theHundreds is pretty much a "so-so american brand" (just search the hundreds). DaggersDrawn? Never heard of it. And about the "ugly jeans," the artwork is beautiful but on jeans? Pretty ugly. Most people here only rock the raw denims so yeah no use in pointing out that they're "hand-painted." Sorry for sounding like an ass ;)

it's ok,I know not everybody like the same style of pants or shirts.

I start to talk about jeans on BBS 7 or 8 years ago.

Taiwan have a little group of people who love jeans and we share together.

we talk about jeans with Chinese and Japanese words.

so I want to know how to use English of jeans.

some people like old Levi's jeans and LVC too.

some love japanese brands, because the nice detail.

I like the japanese ones, and have s shop to carry some nice brands.

but these brands are not famous in Taiwan.

many people ever dont know MR.FUTURA,:P

anyway,I dont want to be a spammer here.

if I cross the yellow line please hit me on the face.haha.

very happy to meet you jeans lovers here.

talk about ZEN, I'm trying to wear to fade, I believe it will be very nice!^^

take some pictures of your own pair of Zen jeans for us? :)

don't worry about being a spammer, it's just that sometimes we are hit by strange guys so we tend to be a bit suspicious at first. but as you can see from sammyshima's posts (he works at Take5 in hong kong) we don't mind photos at all!

is business good? i always wonder how a shop selling such specialised denim like yours has a large enough market to stay high and dry. even a fashion forward place like hk only has one such denim shop, Take5. new york only has one shop Blue in Green, and the 45rpm stores.

yes,but my ZEN pant is only wear 6 months.

you can see nothing on the photos, haha.

I will wear it to do some sports like jogging :P

about the market in Taiwan.

yes,it's really small market for special jeans.

they only love APEEEEEE,STUSSYYYYYYY,

or high end big logo brands,I hate that.

it's hard and tough than in HK and NY.

because almost no one knows these brands in Tw.

so,it's not about to make money on that.

just want people know these nice brands they never seen before.

I will keep it!

share some of my friends works:

I just did a search on the Japanese word "hige" (ひげ) to find the meaning and it came up with:

髭 or 鬚 (I guess there's two kanji for it?) (n) moustache / beard / whiskers.

hige is basically the word for whiskers in japanese. refers to the stripey fade around the front of the jeans that looks like whiskers.

this thread talks about hige and what it means: http://superfuture.com/city/supertalk/showthread.php?t=9617

there's another thread which might be useful to you, it's the encyclopedia thread that is a sticky at the top of the superdenim forum, http://superfuture.com/city/supertalk/showthread.php?t=12729 it links to all the best threads and information throughout the forum, including brands and technical details.

thanks for the link, i'll stop by sometime!

HEWSINATOR

the xx denime are just the name of the jeans

in rakuten they say they are repro of 47 to 50 501, but I'm not really sure about that.

It seems like they all have different number on the tab and I still don't understand why.

I think the xx qualification doesn't really mean something in the quality of denim now, I know there is a thread talking about that but I just don't remember the name. If someone can help?

those are other exemple of xx denime.

  • 3 weeks later...

just going to bump this thread. snagged a pair of eternal 811's off of nairb.

amazing jeans, really really nice denim.

much denser and more rough than Japanese LVC, Full Count, Canes.

maybe the best pair of jeans ive seen yet.

they do run a little tight, or maybe 'true' to size. what a concept.

anyways, just loving these.

highest reccomendation.

Just thought I'd toss in my two cents for the folks wondering about ordering from Sweeth. I have a pair of Eternal 866s on order with him, and he's been very prompt about replying to any questions, and keeping me updated about status of things, as my size had to be ordered from Japan. Shop can do chainstitching too, if you need hemming. Know the 866s aren't kind of cut everyone digs, but if folks are interested, I'll put up pics when they arrive.
