what are some examples of japanese signature finishes on denim?

well for one, i always thought that whole slubbiness thing was a trademark of Japanese denim? I'm pretty sure i read in an article a while ago explaining the whole wabi-sabi (is that the term?) concept, that was produced mostly by the Japanese for today's denim.

i've also noticed some production trademarks that pertain to certain brands where a type of item is always made in Japan...like Dior's waxed jeans and the raw/whiskered jeans that are more uneven in texture.

you know i never figured out properly what wabi-sabi meant - and then again in order to properly find out i'd probably need to be able to understand the culture, language and religion first. perfection in imperfection is what seems to be the underlying tenet?
