Hemming really long distressed jeans

Man, I could have sworn there was a topic similar to this a while ago, but damned if I can find it.

I recently got a pair of Dior orange overdye jeans, and they're very nice, but they are long as fuck (40" inseam). I like the bunched look but 40" is just too crazy. I'm thinking of hemming them to 35". Would this somehow screw up the wash/distressing?

cuff them up inside and look in the mirror -- shouldn't look much different than if you got them hemmed.

Ah hah, so you bought them from Luisa Via Roma? Any who...it really depends how far the honeycomb distressing on the back of the knees and the lap fade go down on the legs.
