Someone please enlighten me

Hi all

I am new to the forums and until now had no idea that people could wear jeans for 2-3 months and longer before even washing. Am i weird for washing my jeans 2-3 times a weak if i wear every day or is this just a cult? Why do you guys do this?

I wear *cheap* jeans that cost less than £50, should i buy a pair of £200 jeans, wear every day of the year and never wash?
