just outside Sac, Roseville. And we don't talk about the Kings until they are over .500, then we become fans again. Looking at the W/L columns side by side is...depressing.

jd - you going to Davis or just live there?

born and raised in sac, going to UC Davis currently

strangelove you're honestly better off buying apc's online, if you already know your size. If you buy em straight from the store they're like 180+ I think...as opposed to some ppl around here and styleforum selling em for 120ish

and lucky lefty's closed a while ago I think =\

I never understood how small shops like lucky lefty's even expect to thrive much...I went there a yr ago and it was empty, parking does suck too considering all the parking is taken by the azn market customers next door lol

I dont know how any streetwear based store stays in business. The only one i knew of was Ikon before FTC and Upper Playground opened up and i think they are all closed now?

I could rant endlessly about the Sac retail scene and why it struggles, and why stores like LL never survive. We've made it nearly 6 years, and have reached some milestones I'm personally really proud of, but I also completely understand the Sac consumer and what they want and what they'll understand. "Cool" stores or hobby shops are destined to fail because they assume they can lead the market aggressively, or they think that because something is cool to them it means it's cool to everyone. That works in other areas, but not Sac. You have to go at it cautiously. There's definite hope for Sac, and it's the best I've ever seen it, but you really do have to be a real retailer to make it here. I'm in my store 6-7 days / week, there's no place for part-timers or hobbyists.

i am in citrus heights at least for the next year and i've been here for one year (transplant from Oakland). we should have a meetup. i prefer somewhere in downtown or mid-town sac rather than thundervalley or blackhawk. thundervalley and blackhawk are so redneck ! i'll bring the DSLR. let's do it !

Heritage in Roseville.

If we can get enough people together we could do something earlier in the day at Temple or another coffee shop, then casino it that eve? I haven't been to Thunder Valley in years, I could be down to be reminded why I've passed for so long (always losing money concept).
