Maybe a better way to answer is High, Low and typical

i agree as well haha.

it's not that i'm cheap, but i see no reason to buy clothes over $100.

you can get nice stuff for cheap prices if you look hard enough.

i usually spend $15-$20 on jeans, which i buy from marshalls and tj maxx.

recently got these nice faded levis and AE jeans for only $16.99 each. in fact i'm gonna post some pix up in the denim section.

Back home in the States, I would buy my clothes at any manner of places, but in general I looked out for bargains. I was also a student up until then so that had to do with it too. I did pretty well, I think. My price limits back then were pretty low, similar to most everyone else's lists.

However, I live in Korea now unfortunately, where there are no bargain shops for good stuff, no thrift stores worth looking through, and everything is double the price. Take the price of most things you know, and double it, and that is what I have to pay on most everything in my life. That has sent my price limits reeling. I'm not rich, I just don't buy stuff as often because of it.

Based on what I've spent over here,

tees:$150

polos:$100

shirts l/s:150

dress shirts:$200

suit:$1500

jeans:$300 (contemplating biting the bullet on some DH's next week, though)

shorts:$0

sneakers:$250

jackets:$800

hoodies:$0

belts(casual):$50

flipflops:$100 (for walking to the corner shop, ha)

facial care:$100

i wouldn't maybe put 600 on a t-shirt in my situation, but i think that if someone/someones parents has the money to spend and that's what he/she wants to do, then why not. it doesn't make anyone ridiculous in my opinion.
