USA made stf's vs. international made ones?

I just recently purchased some Made in the USA stf's and the denim is fuzzier than any of the currnet international made ones. Does anyone know if this is normal ? and will these wear differently than the newer ones? Besides that, I think the fit in the seat is better than the newer ones.

That has been my experience with made in the USA Levi's of all types. The denim was fuzzier and slubby, particularly after a little wear. Clearly, they must have been using a different source for the denim in their U.S. manufacturing. Just how it was different is not as clear. I have read some posts that say it was ring spun denim, but I have my doubts, as it is my understanding that Levi's Strauss stopped using ring spun denim well before it moved production out of the United States. It's a shame really, because I have a couple of really nice pairs of orange tab 505s that use the kind of denim you're referring to and I really like them.
