Now gentlemen, if we are going to continue this political discussion, it will either be moved to Supertrash (where real men duke it out) or deleted by the communist oppressive force of the "Administrator."

Sorry, I have to add my two pennies worth.

I've known and worked with and have family who live in America, but Jesus, it is so annoying when born Americans identify themselves as 'Irish', 'Polish' 'Scottish'.

This one American lady I worked with, kept telling me she was Scottish. Her mum came over from CA to visit her in London, and she told me they were going up to Scotland.

"Oh wow - you can go and see your family in Scotland. Your mum will be really pleased to see them after all these years" I said.

She looked at me somewhat puzzled.

It turns out, after insisting to me she was 'Scottish' since I had first met her, the only 'Scottish' people in her family was a nan from FOUR GENERATIONS AGO.

What is wrong with identifying yourself as simply American if that was where you were born and have always lived?

American.....confused as to what ethnicity you are? here ya go:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ethnic_groups

And for all you Americans who are going to say you are Irish......you aren't.

I love how there's Finns, Danes and Scandinavians in that list, but not Swedes! Thank you, socialists! In Sweden, there is no 'Swedish'. Nothing here is Swedish, you're not even allowed to wear a tshirt with the flag.
